Hepatitis B vaccine is provided at NO cost to the employee. All employees having occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials should have the hepatitis B vaccination series after training and within 10 working days of their initial assignment. This includes all employees with occupational exposure, regardless of how often the exposure may occur. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens, Biomedical Waste, Tuberculosis, and Latex Allergy training is available via ULearn and can be found by searching for the keyword: OSHA.
Part-time and temporary employees are included in this coverage. Employees who decline the vaccine must sign a declination form. The vaccine is available at a later date if the employee so chooses.
