Roku Access

These instructions assume that you have already installed the app.  Visit Roku's article on how to add an app to your device here.

Main Menu

After installing and launching the app, press the ‘Menu’ button of the Roku remote control (the asterisk button as indicated on the screen), to invoke the Stream2 app’s main menu.

TV Guide
From the Main Menu, using the control pad on the Roku remote control, press one step in the down direction to select the ‘TV Guide.’   You will be presented with the channel listing for the current time slot. This is the interface for selecting channels and watching live TV.

Channels are presented by the name of the network.  Channel numbers are assigned by the Stream2 system and are not associated with the channel numbers for local TV channels.

Use the left and right directions of the Roku remote control to scroll through the channel listing.  To select a channel and begin watching TV, press the button in the center of the remote control’s control pad. You can also navigate time slots and days of the week using your Roku remote direction pad.

Program information
In the Program Information screen, you will be given the option to watch the show from its current point in time, restart the program and watch it from the beginning, or record the program. In addition, you will be given a brief summary of that specific program episode. To access the Main Menu at any time, press the ‘Menu’ button of the Fire TV remote control.

Navigating Program Playback
To scrub back and forth in a program you will first want to pause the program by pressing the Play/Pause button on your Roku remote. Then select the -10 button or the +10 button by navigating the control pad to scrub ten seconds back or ten seconds forward, respectively.

Closed Captioning
Closed Captioning configurations can be accessed from the Roku home screen.

Favorites
‘Favorites’ are accessed from the Main Menu.   In the Favorites screen, you can select new Favorite channels by navigating to the channel of your choice via the Roku control pad, then click the center of the control pad to select a favorite. Favorite channels are designated by a red heart in the upper left corner of the TV station’s logo. To de-select the channel as a favorite, navigate over the Favorite channel, then press the center of the control pad.
To view both favorite and non-favorite channels, select your view as “All.” If you only wish to view your favorite channels, you can select “Favorite.”

My Recordings/DVR
To access your recorded programs, click on the “Menu” button until the Main Menu appears and select “My Recordings.” This will take you to the “My Recordings” screen, where any programs you recorded in the past will appear. You can sort by the date the program was recorded of the title of the program. To play your recording, navigate to the program you wish to view and press down on the center button.

If you wish to delete a program, click on “Manage Recordings.” There you can click on the programs you wish to delete, or you can clear the entirety of your DVR storage by choosing “Delete All Recordings.” Click on “Done” once you no longer have any programs you wish to delete.

Your Stream2 DVR storage will store up to 24 hours of programming. There are two ways to record programming; by episode or by series. When you record by series, your DVR manager will record every episode of the series in the order it appears on the TV guide. Your Recording Manager will display these episodes two weeks at a time. This can result in your DVR filling up with one program. To make space for additional programs, you can go to "Manage Recordings" and delete individual recordings to make space.

My Account
In the “My Account” section you can view any notifications, view the Help section for contacting Stream2 support, or view the Settings of your app. My Account menu is the selection “About”, which lists the version number of the Stream2 app, and other information that could be useful when making a call to Technical Support.
